About
Hearthly editorial standards
Hearthly editorial standards are simple: recommend a home gadget only when it replaces a real chore, show the price from the latest hourly check, and say when a number is a sample rather than a live Amazon offer.
What we will publish
- Kitchen tools, smart home gear, cleaning gadgets, organization, small appliances, and home tech.
- A permanent product page that stays up after the discount ends, with the time of the last price check.
- Buying guides that lead with a direct answer, name the tradeoffs, and embed the current deal instead of a frozen price.
What we will not do
- No paid placement from brands. The only commercial relationship is the Amazon Associates program. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- No price without a timestamp. If the official API did not return a price, we do not invent one.
- No third-party price feed presented as an Amazon price. Keepa stays off unless someone explicitly opts in, and the page says so.
- Draft guides stay noindex, off the guides index, and out of the sitemap until an editor sets draft to false.
How a deal gets on the board
The curated catalog is a short list of home gadgets we are willing to keep a page for. The hourly job asks the Amazon Creators API for those items and for current discounts in each category. The homepage sorts by percent off. A category page keeps its URL and its written answer while the table underneath changes.
The active data source on this deployment is Sample catalog, so you are looking at the labeled sample catalog. Prices were assembled .
Corrections
If a product page names the wrong item, or a guide overstates what a gadget does, we correct the page and leave the URL in place. Price mistakes are fixed by the next hourly check, not by editing yesterday’s number into the copy.
